Booming US energy production boosts economy
The oil and gas industry is booming across the U.S. This boom is typified by Midland, Texas, which sits atop the Permian oil and gas basin and has benefited from dramatic increases in production brought about by technologies such as fracking. Follow this graphic to see the impact of the energy boom from the national level down to the region around Midland.
